2018 m. rugsėjo 28 dieną KTU Maisto mokslo ir technologijos katedroje vyko tarptautinis KTU Maisto instituto organizuojamas seminaras “Towards sustainable meat technology that environment and consumer requires”.
Seminare dalyvavo kviestiniai svečiai iš užsienio universitetų bei institutų: prof. dr. Zebeli Qendrim, Dr. R. Puntigam, Slama Julia Andrea, prof. habil. dr, Michael A. Grashorn, dr. Ilen Röhe.
Seminaro metu pranešimus skaitė:
KTU Maisto instituto direktorė dr. Alvija Šalaševičienė, pranešimo tema – “Research activities and possible scientific collaboration with Food Institute of Kaunas University of Technology”
KTU Nacionalinio inovacijų ir verslo centro technologijų perdavimo projektų vadovas dr. Tadas Prasauskas, pranešimo tema – “Knowledge transfer and entrepreneurship promotion at Kaunas University of Technology”
KTU Maisto mokslo ir technologijos katedros vedėja doc. Loreta Bašinskienė, pranešimo tema – “Studies, Research and Innovations in the Department of Food Science and Technology of Kaunas University of Technology”

KTU Polimerų chemijos ir technologijos katedra, doc. Ramunė Rutkaitė, pranešimo tema – “New trends in the meat products packaging”
Po pranešimų seminaro dalyviai turėjo galimybę apsilankyti Kauno technologijos universiteto Cheminės technologijos fakulteto laboratorijose ir Prof. K. Baršausko ultragarso mokslo institute.
